Neptune Phinisi
Five days at an easy pace
Updated 4 November 2026
A 5 days 4 nights private phinisi trip to Komodo from Labuan Bajo costs IDR 280,000,000 (≈ USD 17,178) for the whole of Neptune and up to 14 guests, with the beach dinner included. At most eighteen guests sleep aboard; guests 15 to 18 add IDR 7,500,000 (≈ USD 460) each.
Five days, four nights: the longest voyage
Five days and four nights is Neptune's longest voyage. It covers the same stops as the four-day route, spread out so that only one day is full.
You leave Labuan Bajo harbour at 10:00 on day one and return on day five. All four nights are spent at anchor, with the captain choosing each spot according to the weather. It is a round trip from Labuan Bajo, with no leg to Lombok.
The route is an example, and you agree the sequence with the captain. Because only the 3D2N has a fixed day-by-day plan, the longer routes are assembled from the stops it names. Weather and tide can reorder them, and Manta Point and Taka Makassar can swap.
Look at the shape before the stops: day three has three of them, and every other day has two or fewer.
This route includes the beach dinner, and the price buys the whole boat for 14 guests on the base plan.

Stop by stop across five mornings
The five mornings, in order:
- Day one: harbour at 10:00, Sebayur, Manta Point. Two snorkel stops, and the first night at anchor.
- Day two: Taka Makassar, then Padar. The sandbar and shallow reef come first, and the ridge climb second, with shoes that grip, a hat and water.
- Day three: Pink Beach or Long Beach, Komodo Island and Kalong at sunset. This is the busy day, with a landing, a ranger-led dragon walk and the bat flight. Bring a light layer for the deck.
- Day four: Rinca, then Manjarite. A second dragon walk, closed shoes, and a last snorkel.
- Day five: Kelor, the short climb, and the return to Labuan Bajo and your hotel or the airport.
Padar, Komodo Island, Rinca and Kelor fall on four different days, so you never do two walks in one.
Every stop comes from the three-day plan, and Kanawa can be added on request to the captain.
The beach dinner, set up for your party
As on four days, a dinner is set up on the beach at no charge. It is a bonus for charters of four days or more.
It is laid on for your party, and we confirm in writing what will be served before you sail. Weather and tide pick the beach, the captain decides on the day, and if the evening will not allow it we tell you and agree an alternative.
Over four nights aboard, the evenings vary. One is Kalong at dusk, seen from the deck, and one is the beach. The rest are at anchor, at the long outdoor table or in the indoor dining room as the weather allows.
Flowers, a cake or decorations are not covered by the inclusion; we quote them before anything is added.
The four-day route has the same dinner. Otherwise the two routes differ by a single day.
5D4N price for 14 guests, 18 with extra beds
Five days and four nights on the whole boat cost IDR 280,000,000 (≈ USD 17,178). That price covers 1 to 14 guests, with fuel and taxes folded into one all-in figure, so fourteen guests pay IDR 20,000,000 (≈ USD 1,227) each.
Above 14, extra beds in the three upper cabins take the party to 18 at most, and each guest from the fifteenth to the eighteenth pays IDR 7,500,000 (≈ USD 460). Eighteen guests, our overnight limit, bring the five-day boat to IDR 310,000,000 (≈ USD 19,018). More than 18 overnight means a second boat.
The sum covers three meals a day, coffee and a snack, snorkelling gear, linen and towels, the transfer between your Labuan Bajo hotel or the airport and the harbour, and the beach dinner. We quote the Komodo park package for five days on request. A guide and documentation (on request), drinks, tips and card fees are also billed separately.
Rates are as of 4 November 2026; for 2027 we quote on request.
No route costs less per night than this one, yet its stop list matches the four-day route. What the fifth day adds is time, not places.

Who should choose five days over three
Five days suit a party that wants the park without hurrying. Three days squeeze the main stops into two long days; five, like four, give Komodo and Rinca a day each, and then leave room for everything else.
It is the right length for a family travelling with grandparents, for whom Padar on its own day makes a difference, and for friends who plan to spend their evenings on deck. It also fits when the boat itself is the holiday and you want to live aboard for a while.
Three days make more sense when time is short or one night per anchorage is plenty, and two days when you only have a single night. One or two travellers who do not need a whole boat can take a seat on the shared 3D2N, the only route sold that way.
Two limits apply. Weather and the captain decide when each stop happens and where the boat anchors. And because five days is one of the routes that accepts extra guests, a party can grow to 18 here.
FAQ
Is five days too long for Komodo, or is three enough?
Three days reaches every stop once. Five days spread the same stops across more mornings, so only one day is busy, and the beach dinner is included. Pick five if you want to live on the boat for a while rather than simply visit the park.
Does the five-day route change in the wet season?
November to March is the wet, quieter stretch. Rain and wind can reshuffle the stops or change the anchorage, and the captain and the harbour authority decide each day. We never promise a stop, and the boat does not sail when conditions are unsafe.
Can we ask for Kanawa, or shorten the five-day plan?
Kanawa can be requested from the captain when you book. On a private charter the stops are agreed with the captain, so a shorter plan can be discussed. The price is for the boat, though, so shortening the plan does not reduce it.
