Neptune Phinisi
Three days, two nights
Updated 4 November 2026
A 3D2N private phinisi trip from Labuan Bajo follows Neptune's one planned route, Sebayur to Kelor, leaving at 10:00. The whole boat costs IDR 180,000,000 (≈ USD 11,043) for 14 guests, and a shared cabin seat on the same route starts at IDR 10,800,000 (≈ USD 663).
Three days as planned, Sebayur to Kelor
This is the route as planned, day by day, and the other itineraries on this site are built from it. It is a round trip from Labuan Bajo over three days and two nights.
The route has nine stops, ten if you count Komodo and Rinca separately. Day one covers Sebayur, Manta Point and Taka Makassar; day two Padar, Pink Beach or Long Beach, Komodo or Rinca, and Kalong; day three Kelor and Manjarite. Five are afloat or on a beach, three are walks or climbs, and Kalong you watch from the deck.
Nights are spent at anchor. The plan names Padar for the first and Kelor for the second, though the captain picks each anchorage with the weather. Stops within a day can move as well, and Manta Point and Taka Makassar are known to swap.
Only two times are fixed: departure from the harbour at 10:00 on day one, and the return to Labuan Bajo after lunch on day three.

These stops swap order with tide and wind: Manta Point ⇄ Taka Makassar.
Times are operating patterns, not a timetable. Pickup is the only promise we make by the clock.
Day one: the 10:00 departure, three reefs, a night off Padar
Day one takes you from the quay to the first anchorage.
A driver collects you from your hotel or Komodo Airport and brings you to the harbour, and the boat sails at 10:00. Sebayur comes first, a snorkel over the reef, with lunch served aboard afterwards. In the afternoon you stop at Manta Point to snorkel where manta rays are frequent, though not guaranteed. After a snack the boat moves on to Taka Makassar, a sandbar fringed by shallow reef. Dinner is served aboard, and the boat anchors off Padar for the night.
So the day holds three snorkel stops before dinner. Gear is provided on the boat, though anyone with a favourite set is welcome to bring their own.
Your cabin has a double bed, a hot shower, air conditioning and a private balcony. The upper cabins are one level above the Deluxe studios, and all seven open onto a balcony of their own.
After the 10:00 departure, the day runs in sequence rather than by the clock.
Day two: ridge, pink sand, dragons and Kalong at dusk
Day two has four stops, in this order.
It opens with the Padar trek, for which you want shoes that grip, a hat and water, and breakfast is served aboard once you are back. Next is Pink Beach or Long Beach, a landing where reef-safe sunscreen matters, followed by lunch on the boat. The afternoon brings a walk on Komodo or Rinca Island to look for dragons with a ranger, in closed shoes. Komodo and Rinca are named together and the choice is made with the captain, and the dragons are wild.
After a snack comes the last stop, Kalong Island at sunset, when flying foxes leave the island in large numbers. A light layer is useful on deck. Dinner is served aboard, and the boat anchors off Kelor overnight.
Of the day's efforts, Padar is the hardest on the legs, Kelor tomorrow is easier, and Kalong asks only that you sit and watch.
Day three: the Kelor climb, Manjarite, then lunch and the return
The last day is short. After breakfast aboard comes the Kelor trek, a briefer climb than Padar's, then a final snorkel at Manjarite and some time on the beach. Lunch is served aboard, after which the boat returns to Labuan Bajo and the transfer takes you to your hotel or the airport.
It helps to know the shape of this morning when you plan: a climb, one snorkel, a meal, and the run back. Weather and the captain decide how long each part lasts.
For Kelor you need shoes with grip, a hat and water.
Manjarite is the last snorkel of the voyage.
3D2N prices: whole boat and cabin seat
The same route can be bought two ways: as the whole boat or as a seat.
For 1 to 14 guests, the whole boat costs IDR 180,000,000 (≈ USD 11,043). A family of six pays IDR 30,000,000 (≈ USD 1,840) each. A couple with the boat to themselves pays IDR 90,000,000 (≈ USD 5,521) each, since the price belongs to the boat and does not drop with fewer guests.
For a couple a seat is far cheaper. Two sharing the Junior Suite pay IDR 12,800,000 (≈ USD 785) each, two in a Deluxe studio IDR 10,800,000 (≈ USD 663) each, and two in Mansard I or II IDR 14,800,000 (≈ USD 908) each. You sail with other guests in the remaining cabins, the sailing needs those cabins filled, and each date is confirmed on WhatsApp before you pay.
Fourteen guests sharing the boat pay IDR 12,860,000 (≈ USD 789) each, a figure between the Deluxe and Mansard seats, with the whole boat to themselves.
A seat includes a guide and photo and video documentation; on a private charter we quote them on request. Either way, the park package is billed separately.

Booking flights around a 3D2N
Plan the flight home around the last day rather than the other way round.
On day three the boat reaches Labuan Bajo after lunch; weather, tide and the captain set the exact hour.
Our advice: choose a flight home leaving at 15:00 or later, and book it only after talking to us. If you have to fly earlier, give us the flight time when you book and we will plan the last morning around it.
On the way in, remember that the boat sails at 10:00 and the pickup comes before that. If you can, arrive in Labuan Bajo the day before, since a delayed plane can cost you the first stops. If you land on the morning you sail, send us the flight number.
Getting to Labuan Bajo from Bali, Jakarta or Lombok has its own page, and so do hotels near the harbour.
FAQ
How many days do you need in Komodo?
Three days is the planned route, reaching all nine stops from Sebayur to Kelor. Two days and one night is shorter and drops five of them. With four or five days, Komodo and Rinca each get a day of their own and a beach dinner is included.
Is the trip Labuan Bajo to Labuan Bajo, or one way to or from Lombok?
A round trip from Labuan Bajo, entirely inside Komodo National Park. The boat stays at anchor each night. If you plan to travel on to Lombok afterwards, fly from Komodo Airport and ask us to time the drop-off.
What time does the trip end, and which flight can I take home?
The boat is back in Labuan Bajo after lunch on the last day. Our advice is a flight leaving at 15:00 or later, booked only after you have asked us. An earlier flight needs a plan agreed in advance.
Do you visit Komodo Island or only Rinca on the three-day route?
The plan names Komodo and Rinca together for day two, and the captain helps decide which. Padar, Pink Beach and Manta Point are on the route either way. Neither dragon island is promised, because the weather has the final word.
