Hotels near the harbour

Neptune leaves Labuan Bajo harbour at 10:00 on a 3D2N sailing, and the first snorkel stop, Sebayur, is planned around that start. A flight that lands on the morning of sailing leaves no margin. One late departure from Bali or Jakarta and the harbour is behind you before your bags arrive.

Our standing advice is to arrive the day before. A night ashore buys three things you can count: one full evening of slack for a delayed flight, a bed that stays still before two nights at anchor, and an unhurried hour to send us your passport details and flight times.

The hotel itself is not part of the Neptune price. Nights before and after the voyage sit outside the fare, and we book them from the list below on request. The partner hotels here are booked directly through us, with no booking-platform fee on top. Room rates move daily, so write to us and we answer with the hotel's current price in writing.

Komodo Airport is 7 to 10 minutes by car from the harbour. The road is short and the flight is the risk, so the night before is cheap insurance against the one leg you cannot control.

Pickup is part of every Neptune voyage in Labuan Bajo. On the morning of sailing a driver collects you from your hotel lobby or from Komodo Airport and takes you to the harbour, and the same transfer returns you at the end. You do not pay a separate fare for it.

We send the pickup time and the driver's contact on WhatsApp before sailing, so you know who to look for in the lobby. On a private charter the time can be moved earlier or later around your flights; on the shared 3D2N it follows the 10:00 departure.

One limit applies. Pickups from Lombok happen only at agreed meeting points, not from a hotel door, so a stay on Lombok before the voyage needs a meeting point that we agree with you in advance.

Luggage goes in the vehicle with you. Keep one small bag with sunscreen, a hat, medicines and your passport within reach, because the main bags are stowed before you step on the quay.

A 3D2N voyage returns to Labuan Bajo after lunch on the third day. That leaves two good choices: a hotel bed for the night after, or a flight home that we have checked with you first.

Ask us before you book that flight. If the plan runs late for any reason, a hotel booked for the same night costs less than a missed connection, and the same driver who met you takes you from the quay to the lobby or the terminal.

Shorter overnights return on the last day of their route, and a day charter is back before sunset. In each case the drop-off goes to a hotel or to the airport.

A late lunch ashore is easy to find within a few minutes of the pier, whichever zone you chose.
