A private day charter on a phinisi in Labuan Bajo takes up to thirty guests for IDR 110,000,000 (≈ USD 6,748), a single price for the whole of Neptune. Choose a half day or a full day; nobody sleeps aboard, and the sample route calls at Kelor, Rinca and Manjarite before sunset.
One day for up to thirty guests: Kelor, Rinca, Manjarite
On a day charter you get the same 40 m hull with the cabins left empty. Up to thirty guests board for the day charter in Labuan Bajo, spend the day on the water and are back at the harbour by evening. Because nobody sleeps aboard, the 14-guest limit set by seven double cabins falls away; thirty applies to the day charter only.
Three stops make up the sample route: Kelor Island for a short climb, Rinca Island for the ranger-led dragon walk, and Manjarite for snorkelling. You are back in Labuan Bajo before sunset, so Kalong, which is a sunset stop, is not on the plan.
We call it a sample because it is one. You agree the sequence of stops with the captain, and the weather decides which of them can be reached. The day can be customised too, with a shorter route or a different stop.
As on every Neptune trip, you are collected from your hotel or Komodo Airport in Labuan Bajo and taken to the harbour.

Half day or full day, with the hours agreed for your party
You book a day charter as a half day or a full day. Rather than a fixed clock, we set the boarding time and the finish around your flights and your group.
A half day fits a party with one stop in mind or an afternoon flight, and you pick that stop with the captain. A full day fits a company outing or a large family, with time for all three stops on the sample route.
We need four things from you: the number of guests, the date, where the group is staying, and the time of any flight you have to catch. From those we write a plan for the day and confirm it on WhatsApp before you pay.
On a private day charter you can board earlier than the 10:00 used for overnight trips, or later. The boat is yours for the day, so you and the captain agree the timetable, within the limits of daylight and tide.
Day charter price for thirty at most
A day charter is priced for the boat, covering 1 to thirty guests. The figure is IDR 110,000,000 (≈ USD 6,748) whatever the count, so ten guests and thirty guests on a day charter pay the same sum and simply split it differently.
That sum covers the vessel and its crew, with fuel and taxes folded into one rounded all-in figure, plus snorkelling gear and the transfer between your Labuan Bajo hotel or the airport and the harbour. Meals are confirmed with you in writing when we agree the route.
Charged separately are the Komodo park package for the day trip, which we quote on request; a guide and documentation, available on request for a private charter; drinks; tips; and card fees. Like the rest, the park package is quoted for the trip before you pay.
If your day charter group is close to 30, give us the count and we will confirm it in writing.

Ten, twenty or thirty on board: the day split per head
The boat price never moves; only each person's share does. Two example parties on a day charter:
- A day charter of ten guests: IDR 11,000,000 (≈ USD 675) each.
- A day charter of thirty guests: IDR 3,670,000 (≈ USD 225) each.
Each line is a share of the single boat price, IDR 110,000,000 (≈ USD 6,748), and of nothing else. The park package, a guide and documentation, drinks, tips and card fees are added line by line, each quoted first.
No overnight trip can do this. On a day charter a company of 30, a school group or three families can share one deck for the day, and since nobody sleeps aboard, the cabin limit never comes into it. Overnight, the cabins hold 14, or 18 with extra beds.

Meeting, lunch and a return before sunset
A driver collects the group from the hotel or the airport and takes everyone to the harbour; we send the driver's contact on WhatsApp before the day.
Meals are settled with the plan. Aboard, you can use the indoor dining room or the long outdoor table, and snorkelling gear is on the boat.
We plan the return so that the boat reaches Labuan Bajo before sunset, and the driver takes the group back to the hotel or the airport.
For your flight. If you have a plane to catch that day, give us the flight time when you book and we will fit boarding and the finish around it. A day at sea moves with the weather and the tide, so we never plan a tight connection.
Rinca and Kelor both involve walking: bring shoes with grip, a hat and water.

Is hotel or airport pickup in Labuan Bajo included in a day charter?
Yes. A driver takes your group from the hotel or Komodo Airport to the harbour, and back again afterwards. We send the driver's contact on WhatsApp before you sail, and can arrange a bigger vehicle for a large group on request.
Is a day trip to Komodo worth it, or should we stay a night?
A day charter reaches Rinca, Kelor and Manjarite and returns before sunset, which means missing Padar, Pink Beach, Manta Point and Kalong on the overnight routes. Pick the day charter for time, group size or a flight; pick an overnight route to see the whole park.
