Neptune Phinisi
Fourteen guests, eighteen with extra beds
Updated 4 November 2026
How many guests fit on Neptune's 7-cabin phinisi in Labuan Bajo: 14 in seven double cabins on the boat price, 18 at most overnight with extra beds in the three upper cabins, and 30 on a day charter. On 3D2N each guest from the fifteenth adds IDR 6,000,000 (≈ USD 368).
Fourteen guests, two to each double
The count is simple. 7 cabins, each with one double bed, give 14 guests on the boat price. Mansard I, Mansard II and the Junior Suite sit on the upper level. Four Deluxe studios sit on the main deck. Every cabin has its own bathroom and a private balcony.
The plan below sets the cabins out by level. It shows the number that matters: two guests to a cabin, on every one of the seven. Fourteen is the figure the price is built on, and it is the figure at which every guest has a bed, a bathroom and a door.
Anything above 14 is not another cabin. It is an extra bed in a cabin that already has two guests.
| Cabin | Rooms | Beds | Sleeps | with extra bed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mansard I | 1 | 1 double bed | 2 | 4 |
| Mansard II | 1 | 1 double bed | 2 | 4 |
| Junior Suite | 1 | 1 double bed | 2 | 4 |
| Deluxe (studio) | 4 | 1 double bed | 8 | 8 |
| Berths in total | 7 | 14 | 18 |
The extra beds in the three upper cabins could hold more people, but Neptune takes no more than 18 guests overnight.
Extra beds: three upper cabins, one or two guests each
Extra beds exist in the three upper cabins only. The extra bed sits in Mansard I, Mansard II or the Junior Suite and sleeps one or two guests. The four Deluxe studios on the main deck take none, and we sell no extra bed there.
A night aboard takes 18 guests at most: the base 14 plus four extra persons.
On a shared sailing, a third guest in a cabin pays for the extra bed: IDR 6,500,000 (≈ USD 399) in Mansard I or II, and IDR 6,000,000 (≈ USD 368) in the Junior Suite. That price belongs to the open trip, not to the whole-boat charter.
Fifteen to eighteen guests: the extra-person rate
Fifteen to eighteen guests overnight pay the extra-person rate on top of the boat price. It is IDR 6,000,000 (≈ USD 368) on 3D2N, IDR 6,500,000 (≈ USD 399) on 4D3N and IDR 7,500,000 (≈ USD 460) on 5D4N, for each guest from the fifteenth. The 2D1N sails with up to 14 guests.
Sixteen guests on 3D2N pay IDR 192,000,000 (≈ USD 11,779) in all. Eighteen guests at most on 5D4N pay IDR 310,000,000 (≈ USD 19,018). Both sums are the boat price plus the extra persons, with no other line added.
Children from age 3 count as guests. Children aged 0 to 2 travel free. Past 18 overnight, a second boat is needed.
Thirty guests on a day charter need no beds
A day charter carries up to thirty guests, and it needs no beds because nobody sleeps aboard. The boat price for a day charter is IDR 110,000,000 (≈ USD 6,748), which is IDR 3,670,000 (≈ USD 225) for each guest when the day charter is full.
The number 30 belongs to the day charter alone. A party of 30 that wants to sleep aboard needs two boats, and the day charter cannot be extended to a night. A day charter returns to Labuan Bajo the same day.
Use a day charter for a gathering, an outing or a company day. Use the overnight plan when the sunrise at Padar or the sunset at Kalong matters.
Cabin pairings for couples, friends and three generations
Couples fit the plan without effort: seven pairs, one per cabin. Choose the upper level for the extra bed, a Deluxe studio on the main deck for the simplest layout.
Friends who prefer separate beds ask before booking. Each cabin has one double bed, and separate beds exist only as the extra bed in an upper cabin.
Three generations fit best with the grandparents on the main deck and the children in an upper cabin with an extra bed. A family of 14 uses all seven cabins, and a family of 17 uses all three upper cabins with extra beds.
Eighteen guests use four of the six extra places the upper cabins offer. Two stay empty, which leaves room in every upper cabin.
FAQ
How many guests can sleep aboard, and how do the extra beds work?
Fourteen guests sleep in seven double cabins. Extra beds exist in Mansard I, Mansard II and the Junior Suite only, for one or two guests each. That takes an overnight party to 18 at most. Beyond 18, a second boat is needed.
What do guests fifteen to eighteen pay?
Each guest from the fifteenth adds the extra-person rate on top of the boat price: IDR 6,000,000 (≈ USD 368) on 3D2N, IDR 6,500,000 (≈ USD 399) on 4D3N and IDR 7,500,000 (≈ USD 460) on 5D4N. The 2D1N sails with up to 14 guests.
Can a party above eighteen stay overnight on Neptune?
Not on one boat. Eighteen is the most Neptune takes for a night aboard, with the extra beds in the three upper cabins. A larger party needs a second boat, or a day charter, which carries up to thirty guests who sleep ashore.
Do children count toward the 18?
Yes, from age 3. Children aged 0 to 2 travel free. A child from age 3 pays the full fare and uses a bed, so counts as a guest toward the 14 and the 18.
Can a third guest share a cabin on a shared sailing?
In Mansard I, Mansard II or the Junior Suite, yes: a third guest on an extra bed pays IDR 6,500,000 (≈ USD 399) or IDR 6,000,000 (≈ USD 368) on the shared seat price. Deluxe studios have no extra bed. We confirm every arrangement in writing.
