Seven balcony cabins

Updated 4 November 2026

7 balcony cabins on a phinisi in Labuan Bajo: Neptune puts Mansard I, Mansard II and the Junior Suite upstairs and four Deluxe studios on the main deck. Each has a double bed, a private balcony, an en-suite hot shower and air conditioning. Shared-trip seats start at IDR 10,800,000 (≈ USD 663) per person, two to a cabin.

Three cabins on the upper level, four on the main level

Start at the main level, which holds four Deluxe studios. One level up are Mansard I, Mansard II and the Junior Suite. Seven doors in all, and behind each of them you find the same four things:

  • A private balcony.
  • An en-suite bathroom with a hot shower.
  • Air conditioning.
  • One double bed.

Where the levels differ is the extra bed, and that difference shapes most bookings. Each upper cabin can take one for one or two guests; the Deluxe studios cannot. So the upper level is where families sleep, and the main level is for couples.

On a hull 40 m long and 8 m wide, 7 cabins give 14 guests on the base plan, with a bathroom and a balcony for every pair.

Mansard I and II, with an extra bed for two

Mansard I and Mansard II are the matching pair on the upper level, and the ones to book when a third or fourth person needs to share the room. Each has a double bed, a private balcony, an en-suite bathroom with a hot shower, and air conditioning, plus space for an extra bed that sleeps one or two. Four guests is the most either cabin takes.

On the shared 3D2N sailing a third guest on the extra bed pays IDR 6,500,000 (≈ USD 399); for a fourth, we quote on request.

On a private charter, guests 15 to 18 sleep on extra beds in the upper cabins, two of which are the Mansards. Everyone above 14 pays the extra-person rate, which on the three-day route is IDR 6,000,000 (≈ USD 368).

Couples who want to be upstairs book a Mansard, and so do parents travelling with one or two children. A grandparent who would rather share than sleep alone fits here too.

Junior Suite: upper level at a lower fare

The Junior Suite completes the upper level, one floor above the Deluxe studios. Inside are a double bed, a private balcony, an en-suite bathroom with a hot shower, and air conditioning. Its balcony faces the same way as those on the Deluxe level, just one level higher.

It shares the Mansards' extra bed for one or two guests, so up to four people can sleep here. On the shared 3D2N sailing a third guest on the extra bed pays IDR 6,000,000 (≈ USD 368).

The shared-trip seat costs less than a Mansard's, with the same bathroom, bed and balcony.

The result is a sensible middle option: upstairs, with an extra bed available, at a fare below the Mansard rate.

Four Deluxe studios at main-deck level

Each Deluxe studio is one room with a double bed, a private balcony, an en-suite bathroom with a hot shower, and air conditioning. All four are on the main level, so the studios sleep eight guests at most; none takes an extra bed.

A Deluxe seat on the shared 3D2N sailing is the lowest fare aboard. A studio has no third bed, and so no third-guest price.

Four couples travelling together fit the studios well, as do friends who pair off two by two, or anyone after a balcony and a private bathroom at the lowest seat price. A family hoping to sleep three or four to a room should look upstairs instead.

What every Neptune cabin has

The same list applies to every door on the boat.

  • Private balcony: yes, in all seven cabins.
  • En-suite bathroom: yes, in all seven. No bathroom is shared.
  • Hot shower: yes, in all seven.
  • Air conditioning: yes, in all seven.
  • Bed: one double bed in each. Extra beds fit the three upper cabins only.
  • Window: each cabin opens to its balcony.

Every cabin has one double bed, and separate beds exist only as the extra bed in an upper cabin. Friends who need their own beds should ask us before booking. Four friends taking two Deluxe studios will be sharing two double beds, not sleeping in four singles.

The extra beds in the three upper cabins could hold more people, but Neptune takes no more than 18 guests overnight.

Shared-trip fares by cabin

On a shared sailing you pay for your place in the cabin. The table sets out the 3D2N open-trip fares per person, two sharing: all-in 2026 fares with fuel included, dated 4 November 2026. Each date is confirmed live on WhatsApp before you pay.

The lists below show what a seat includes and what is billed beside it. A seat carries a guide and photo and video documentation, a payment link adds 3 percent and PayPal 7.2 percent, and every line appears in a written quote first.

To take all seven cabins instead, see the charter page, where a guide and documentation are quoted on request.

FAQ

What separates a Mansard, the Junior Suite and a Deluxe cabin, and is any bathroom shared?

Mansard I, Mansard II and the Junior Suite sit on the upper level and each takes an extra bed for one or two guests. The four Deluxe studios are on the main level and take none. Every cabin has its own bathroom, so nobody shares one.

Does every cabin have its own balcony and bathroom?

Yes. All seven cabins have a private balcony and an en-suite bathroom with a hot shower.

Does each cabin have a double bed, or can we ask for separate beds?

Each cabin has one double bed. The only separate beds are the extra beds in Mansard I, Mansard II and the Junior Suite; a Deluxe studio has none. If your party needs a bed per person, tell us before booking and we will check the plan.

What do I get in the cabin: hot water, air conditioning, a window?

Every cabin has a hot shower and air conditioning, and each opens onto its own balcony. The bathroom is en-suite in all seven, so nobody shares one, and linen and towels are supplied for every guest on every route.

Which small cabin extras are confirmed on request?

Extras beyond the cabin specification are confirmed on request. If you rely on a particular item, tell us before you sail and we confirm in writing what is aboard, or pack it yourself.

What happens if Neptune cannot sail on my date?

We put you on a boat of equal or higher class on the same date, at no extra charge. If that does not suit you, you get a full refund within 2 days. The guarantee is confirmed in writing before you pay.
