Fourteen guests or eighteen: cabins and extra beds

Updated 4 November 2026

A 40 m phinisi such as Neptune sleeps 14 guests in seven double cabins, each with its own bathroom and balcony. Extra beds in the three upper cabins, Mansard I, Mansard II and the Junior Suite, raise the overnight total to 18. Every cabin has one double bed, so separate beds come only from an extra bed.

The plan: four cabins below, three above

Before any rooming list, look at the plan. Neptune's cabins sit on two levels, with the shared spaces outside them.

  1. Lower deck. Deluxe I, II, III and IV, the four studio cabins. Each has one double bed, air conditioning, an en-suite bathroom with a hot shower and a private balcony.
  2. Upper deck. Mansard I and Mansard II, the two master cabins, and the Junior Suite. Same fittings, plus floor space for an extra bed taking one or two guests.
  3. Open deck. The long outdoor dining table and the sunbeds on the foredeck, shared by everyone aboard.

That gives seven cabins, seven bathrooms and seven balconies. No cabin shares a bathroom, and every one has its own threshold to the outside. The cabins page has photographs of each room.

Fourteen guests: two to each double bed

The base price covers up to 14 guests, two to each of the seven double beds. Neptune is drawn for this arrangement: couples, or pairs content to share a bed. For 3D2N it costs IDR 180,000,000 (≈ USD 11,043) for the whole boat in 2026, the same total for one guest as for fourteen.

A party of 14 tends to split along the decks. Four pairs take the Deluxe cabins below and three take the upper cabins. Who goes upstairs is your call, and one fair way to settle it is to give the upper deck to the people the trip is for: a couple marking an anniversary, the grandparents, the hosts. Send us the names against the cabin list and we pass it to the crew.

Fifteen to eighteen: where the extra beds go

Each upper cabin can take an extra bed for one or two guests. Those three cabins hold the only extra sleeping space aboard, and the overnight total is held at 18, so at most four guests join the base 14. The Deluxe cabins stay at two.

  • 16 guests. One extra bed for two in the Junior Suite, or one extra guest in each Mansard cabin.
  • 18 guests. Four extra guests over the upper deck, for instance two in the Junior Suite and one in each Mansard.

Each guest above 14 pays the extra-person rate: IDR 6,000,000 (≈ USD 368) on 3D2N, IDR 6,500,000 (≈ USD 399) on 4D3N and IDR 7,500,000 (≈ USD 460) on 5D4N. Eighteen on 3D2N comes to IDR 204,000,000 (≈ USD 12,515) for the boat. The 2D1N route has no such rate, so a 2D1N party over 14 needs a written quote first.

A day on the water follows different arithmetic. The day charter carries up to thirty guests for IDR 110,000,000 (≈ USD 6,748), because nobody stays the night.

Separate beds, families and friends

Every cabin has one double bed, and there is no twin layout. Two friends who want separate beds therefore have two choices: share the double, or put one of them on an extra bed in an upper cabin. Tell us before you book. We write the arrangement into the confirmation, cabin by cabin.

For families, children aged 0 to 2 travel free with a parent. From age 3 a child is a full guest and counts towards both the 14 and the 18. A family of four can take one upper cabin with an extra bed for the children, or two cabins on the same deck.

If anyone in the party is prone to seasickness, say so when you send the list. The middle of a boat moves least, and we will go through the plan with you before cabins are fixed.

Whole boat or shared cabins

Below 14 the whole-boat price does not change, so each share grows as the party shrinks: IDR 12,860,000 (≈ USD 789) a head at 14, IDR 25,710,000 (≈ USD 1,577) at seven. For two to six travellers the shared 3D2N departure is the closer fit. It sells cabins per person, two sharing: IDR 10,800,000 (≈ USD 663) in a Deluxe cabin, IDR 12,800,000 (≈ USD 785) in the Junior Suite and IDR 14,800,000 (≈ USD 908) in a Mansard. A third guest on an extra bed costs IDR 6,000,000 (≈ USD 368) in the Junior Suite or IDR 6,500,000 (≈ USD 399) in a Mansard. Shared dates change daily, so we confirm your cabin on WhatsApp before payment.

Neptune has seven doubles and three places where an extra bed fits, all on the upper deck. Plan from the fourteen, add up to four upstairs, and the rooming list follows the drawing.
